UAE Wrestling Federation Unveils First-Ever Wrestling Cup to Elevate the Sport and Celebrate Heritage
Abu Dhabi, UAE – January 22, 2024: The UAE Wrestling Federation has announced the launch of the inaugural UAE Wrestling Cup, a groundbreaking championship set to take place at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City on January 24-25.
As the federation’s first official tournament, this event set the stage for a series of national competitions designed to cultivate young wrestling talent across various age categories. With a strong emphasis on youth development and cultural preservation, the federation is committed to shaping the future of wrestling in the UAE, while reviving Mutaraha, the nation’s traditional sport, as a key part of its mission.

H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the UAE Wrestling Federation, shared:
